  Millennium Prophecies and Jubilee Visions

        Apokalypso is a series of writings espousing these principal propositions:

• Man has an Eternal Life in the "here and now", not in some fictitious "afterlife".
• Eternity is fully accessible to the human senses; it appears "hidden" because those senses have been diminished.
• In his diminished state, Man perceives himself to be finite and the universe around him to be infinite.  In reality, Man is infinite, encompassing the entire universe within himself.
• Because Man has forgotten his Eternal Life, he has subjected himself to Death.

Because Man has forgotten his Infinite Being, he has searched in vain for a faraway god.
• The Time is upon us when Man must either awaken from his amnesia or join the futile shades of things that might have been.

Apokalypso seeks to be faithful to the true meaning of the word "Apocalypse" by uncovering the Presence of God among us.  In the Light of that Presence, we are not many separate individuals, but One Body.

Apokalypso looks toward the imminent and total collapse of all the edifices of power of this World, that they might be swept aside to make way for the Kingdom of the Messiah.

Apokalypso celebrates the great Jubilee of Justice, in which the meek shall be exalted and the mighty brought low.  "Be jubilant, my feet!"
 

The current series of Apokalypso, entitled Nero Redivivus, envisions the imminent rise of a World ruler who is the reincarnation of Nero Caesar. Tracing the legend of Nero's apocalyptic second Empire to the prophecies of the ancient Sibyl of Cumae, we foresee both the culmination and the final undoing of the Reign of Iniquity under which humanity now suffers. Have we not arrived at the juncture, foretold in the Book of Revelation, when "no man might buy or sell, save that he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name"? And where is this mark, name and number of the Beast to be found? We need look no further than inside our own wallets at the bank and credits cards, without which we are increasingly unable to "buy or sell" anything! USURY, once a forebidden practice, has all but taken over our lives - much to the advantage of a tiny elite of financial predators. In our search for the reborn carcass of Emperor Nero, we will look, as the Gospel instructs us, to "where the vultures be gathered together".

The previous series of Apokalypso, entitled The Year of Jubilee, explains the role that Man is expected to play in his own Redemption.  We are not to passively await the coming of our Redeemer.  Rather, we must prepare a way for His Kingdom by first demolishing the prevailing reign of greed and avarice.  To do so requires nothing more than that we withdraw our servile support of the "powers that be" and let them collapse under their own weight.

The original series of Apokalypso, entitled The End of Time, follows the winding thread of prophecy from the Old Testament book of Daniel, through the visions of St. Malachy, and finally to the cryptic verses of Nostradamus.  What emerges is picture of the not-too-distant future every bit as coherent as it is terrifying.  Waiting in the wings is a charismatic World Leader, the Beast whose tentacles will soon reach even within the walls of the Vatican!
